WPBSA durch Vertrauensvotum gestärkt!

Heute hat sich der Vorstand der World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA) bei der Jahreshauptversammlung in Sheffield einem Vertrauensvotum unterzogen, mit Erfolg!
Der Sport Snooker hat sich strukturell im letzten Jahr stark verändert und die WPBSA kontrolliert nun die gesamte Organistion und repräsentiert die Interessen der professionellen Spieler.
Der kommerzielle Arm der WPBSA, World Snooker, hat mit neuen Turnieren, neuen Formaten und mehr Preisgeld viel dazu beigetragen, den Sport weltweit populärer zu machen. Für die nächste Saison sind weitere neue Turniere in Brasilien, Thailand und China geplant. (s. provisorischer Kalender 2011/12)
Der erste Vorsitzende der WPBSA, Jason Ferguson, behält seine Position bei.  Ebenso sind David Douglas, Steve Davis, Alan Chamberlain und Zhang Xiaoning weiterhin mit von der Partie.
