Anschuldigungen gegen John Higgins seine Top-5 illegaler Spielabsprachen in der Geschichte des Sports:
1. Renault’s Formula 1 team narrowly escaped a two-year ban for their  involvement in the Singapore Grand Prix when they asked driver Nelson  Piquet Jr to crash to help team-mate Fernando Alonso win 
2. Former South African cricket captain Hansie Cronje was served a  lifetime ban after admitting to accepting approximately $100,000 in  bribes from gamblers since 1996 
3. Eight members from the Chicago White socks were banned for life  for throwing games in the 1919 World Series. Not all players that were  banned played, they blackmailed the ringleader, Arnold ‘Chick’ Gandil 
4. In 2009 a 200-strong criminal gang was exposed as the largest  match-fixing ring to hit European football. It is believed they bribed  players, coaches, referees and officials to fix games to benefit a  betting ring. 
5. Spain’s paralympic basketball team that competed in the 2000  Sydney Olympics were stripped of their medals when 10 of the 12  competitors were found not to be disabled!
